There exists in Ontario and across Canada a large and ever-expanding body of law, which is meant to
govern the sometimes complicated relationship between employers and employees. Our Employment and Labour
Law Department, headed by David McNevin, provides expert
advice on all aspects of the employment relationship both in the unionized and in the non-unionized
workplace. This advice takes many forms: advancing or defending actions for wrongful dismissal in
relation to non-unionized workplaces; negotiating collective agreements between employees and unions;
and regularly participating in labour arbitration hearings and proceedings before the Ontario Human
Rights Commission.
