Thomas MacKay was called to the bar in 2011. He received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Windsor.
Mr. MacKay practices in the areas of family law, civil litigation, and estate litigation. Known for innovative thinking and the ability to resolve complex and emotionally difficult matters, Mr. MacKay provides strong advocacy and practical, straightforward advice. He has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Ontario Court of Justice, Ontario Court of Appeal, Tax Court of Canada as well as various administrative tribunals.
Mr. MacKay received the J.W. Whiteside Award for outstanding service to the Faculty of Law, the legal community and the Community of Windsor in 2010. In 2008, Mr. MacKay received the Students’ Law Society Award in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the Windsor Law Community. In 2007, he received a Citizen’s Citation for Bravery from Windsor Fire and Rescue Services.
Mr. MacKay is actively engaged in community service and sits on various local boards.
